Sac City Wins and Claimed- 07/14/2005
“Sac City” won today in a gutsy performance in where he broke on the front end from the gate, lose the lead down the stretch, and then battle back on the inside to win win by a neck. This was Sac City's first win and earned just over $9,000 in the maiden claiming event that was run at a mile. After the race it was announced that Sac City was claimed by trainer Christine Janks for the $10,000 claiming tag and will now be under her care for new owner's Scaminaci Racing Stable. Good Luck Sacman!!!

 

Sac City Entered For Thursday- 07/11/2005
“Sac City” will make his second start of the year in a one mile claiming event on Thursday July 14th at Arlington Park. Sac City will break from post position one, leading rider Shaun Bridgmohan has the mount. The race is scheduled as the second race on the card. The stretch out from his previous race of six furlongs to a mile should be to Sac City's liking.

 

Sac City Works 1/2 Mile- 07/07/2005
“Sac City” worked a 1/2 mile this morning in 53.2 at Arlington Park and is being pointed for a one mile maiden claiming race on Wednesday July 13th for his next start.

 

Sac City Finishes Fifth In His Three Year Old Debut- 06/20/2005
“Sac City” finished fifth beaten seven lenghts in a maiden claiming event at Arlington Park on Sunday for his first start of the year. He had one horse beat turning for home and began to pick up horses down the stretch, and while not showing to much interest in racing, he just galloped around the track and still beat over half the field. After returning to the barn, he was scoped and showed a small trace of blood in his lungs and will run on lasix for his next start.

 

Sac City Entered For Sunday- 06/16/2005
“Sac City” will make his three year old debut in a $10,000 maiden claiming event restricted to Illinois breds at Arlington Park on Sunday June 19th. There is a full field of twelve entered and is slated as the second race on the card with Chris Emigh aboard.

 

Sac City works 5/8ths- 05/31/2005
“Sac City” worked 5/8ths of a mile Sunday morning in 1:04.2 at Arlington Park. We are looking at a race on June 19th as a possibility for Sac City's first start of the year.

 

Sac City Breezes from the Gate- 05/23/2005
“Sac City” breezed in company 5/8th's of a mile from the gate in 1:03 at Arlington Park.

 

Sac City Works 5/8ths- 05/05/2005
“Sac City” breezed 5/8ths in 1:03 (3/13) at Hawthorne this morning. This was the Sac City's first work over a half mile since returning to training in early April. Although you shouldn't look to much into the time of works and more of how it is done, stakes horse Smoke Smoke Smoke went the same distance today in 1:04.4. Hawthorne is still playing pretty deep in the mornings.

 

Sac City Works Half-Mile- 05/01/2005
“Sac City” worked a half-mile in 49.3 on Saturday morning in company at Hawthorne. He was to breeze with one of his stable-mates when another horse joined the work and moved in front of Sac City. He came back home covered in dirt from the other horse, but overcame the unexpected. It actually turned out to be a nice work over the deep track.

 

Sac City Continues To Work- 04/25/2005
“Sac City” continues his return to training with a series of half mile works in company at Hawthorne where he went another half in 51.2 this morning. "The knee looks good and we will bring him along slowly after having more than six months off," said trainer Brian Williamson.

 

Sac City Scheduled Work- 04/10/2005
“Sac City” went an easy 3/8ths yesterday in .40 for his second work since returning back to training at Hawthorne. "He worked by himself yesterday, and he is not much of a work horse when he's alone, he's more aggressive in company", said trainer Brian Williamson. "He broke of slow the first part but finished up well, and the knee looks fine, Williamson added.

 

Sac City Scheduled Work- 04/05/2005
“Sac City” worked 3/8ths of a mile in .38 flat at Hawthorne this morning. He was on the outside of his work-mate, and was credited with a bullet, the fastest of ten for the distance on the deep Hawthorne strip. He came out of the work in good shape and will walk the shed-row tomorrow. Sac City is scheduled for another move in 5-6 days.

 

Sac City Scheduled Work- 04/01/2005
“Sac City” is scheduled to have his first work of the year this weekend at Hawthorne. Depending on the weather, he will go an easy 3/8ths on either Saturday or Sunday.

 

Sac City Returns To Track- 04/01/2005
“Sac City” arrived at Hawthorne on Wednesday from Fairberry Farm and galloped on Saturday morning under the care of trainer Brian Williamson. Sac City had been away from the track since having surgery to remove a chip from his right front knee in late September of '04. "The knee looks good and is cold, he will gallop for the next week or so and then we'll let him go an easy 3/8ths" said Williamson.

 

“Sac City” has surgery- 10/01/2004
“Sac City” had arthroscopic surgery to remove a chip from his right knee on Wednesday. Dr Pederson said there was one chip that was taken out cleanly, and that the chip had caused no damage to the knee and we should expect a full recovery. Sac City will be shipped to Fairberry Farm in Waterloo, IL to recover for the next several months.

 

“Sac City” works 3/8th- 9/16/2004
“Sac City” blew out 3/8ths in .38 in preperation for his first start on Saturday at Arlington Park.

 

“Sac City” entered for Saturday- 9/15/2004
“Sac City” will be making his racing debut on Saturday at Arlington Park. He will be running in a open company $50K maiden claiming event going six furlongs with Chris Emigh aboard while carrying 120 lbs. He will be breaking from post nine with eleven horses entered and is slated as the second race on the card.

“Sac City” worked four furlongs today with company in 51.2.

“Sac City” worked four furlongs on Saturaday in .49 flat. We are hoping to enter him for his racing debut in a Illinois bred restricted Maiden Special Weight race going six furlongs on Saturday September 11th at Arlington Park.

“Sac City” worked an easy five furlongs by himself on Sunday in 1:04.4.

“Sac City” worked a half mile in .50 with company.

 

“Sac City” works 5f- 8/17/2004
“Sac City” worked this morning going five furlongs in 1:03 flat. This was his third consecutive five furlong work and was ninth fastest of twenty. He is showing small improvements in his times by shaving about one full second off of each previous work at the distance.

 

“Sac City” Works From The Gate- 8/11/2004
“Sac City” worked in company from the gate this morning going five furlongs in 103.4. He hesitated a little from the gate but then went on with his work to finish together with his work-mate. Sac City has had a few works where he has shown to be aggressive, but for the most part, we are still waiting for him to pick-up his head on a regular basis and show some real interest in being a racehorse.
