event on Thursday July 14th at Arlington Park. Sac City will break from
post position one, leading rider Shaun Bridgmohan has the mount. The
race is scheduled as the second race on the card. The stretch out from
his previous race of six furlongs to a mile should be to Sac City's
liking.

Sac City Finishes Fifth In His Three Year Old Debut- 06/20/2005

finished fifth beaten seven lenghts in a maiden claiming event
at Arlington Park on Sunday for his first start of the year. He had one
horse beat turning for home and began to pick up horses down the
stretch, and while not showing to much interest in racing, he just
galloped around the track and still beat over half the field. After
returning to the barn, he was scoped and showed a small trace of blood
in his lungs and will run on lasix for his next start.

19th. There is a full field of twelve entered and is slated as the

breezed 5/8ths in 1:03 (3/13) at Hawthorne this morning. This
was the Sac City's first work over a half mile since returning to
training in early April. Although you shouldn't look to much into the
time of works and more of how it is done, stakes horse Smoke Smoke
Smoke went the same distance today in 1:04.4. Hawthorne is still
playing pretty deep in the mornings.

worked a half-mile in 49.3 on Saturday morning in company at Hawthorne. He was to breeze with one of his stable-mates when another horse joined the work and moved in front of Sac City. He came back home covered in dirt from the other horse, but overcame the unexpected. It actually turned out to be a nice work over the deep track.

continues his return to training with a series of half mile works in company at Hawthorne where he went another half in 51.2 this morning. "The knee looks good and we will bring him along slowly after having more than six months off," said trainer Brian Williamson.

went an easy 3/8ths yesterday in .40 for his second work since returning back to training at Hawthorne. "He worked by himself yesterday, and he is not much of a work horse when he's alone, he's more aggressive in company", said trainer Brian Williamson. "He broke of slow the first part but finished up well, and the knee looks fine, Williamson added.

worked 3/8ths of a mile in .38 flat at Hawthorne this morning. He was on the outside of his work-mate, and was credited with a bullet, the fastest of ten for the distance on the deep Hawthorne strip. He came out of the work in good shape and will walk the shed-row tomorrow. Sac City is scheduled for another move in 5-6 days.

arrived at Hawthorne on Wednesday from Fairberry Farm and galloped on Saturday morning under the care of trainer Brian Williamson. Sac City had been away from the track since having surgery to remove a chip from his right front knee in late September of '04. "The knee looks good and is cold, he will gallop for the next week or so and then we'll let him go an easy 3/8ths" said Williamson.

had arthroscopic surgery to remove a chip from his right
knee on Wednesday. Dr Pederson said there was one chip that was
taken out cleanly, and that the chip had caused no damage to the
knee and we should expect a full recovery. Sac City will be shipped
to Fairberry Farm in Waterloo, IL to recover for the next several
months.

was his third consecutive five furlong work and was ninth fastest of
twenty. He is showing small improvements in his times by shaving
about one full second off of each previous work at the distance.

worked in company from the gate this morning going five
furlongs in 103.4. He hesitated a little from the gate but then went
on with his work to finish together with his work-mate. Sac City has
had a few works where he has shown to be aggressive, but for the most
part, we are still waiting for him to pick-up his head on a regular
basis and show some real interest in being a racehorse.
